Gregoire: Shri Mataji, the question would be, what is the meaning of womanhood in your spiritual message?

Womanhood is the potential of the spiritual energy. She is like the Mother Earth. She bears everything and gives everything. Also, she resides within us as the mother, Kundalini. What we call the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost is the primordial mother. And she is the desire of God Almighty. The desire of God Almighty the primordial mother, the Holy Ghost, creates the whole universe. And God Almighty is just the witness of the play. [CUT]

Gregoire: Then, what is exactly the… How to situate the dimension of womanhood in the true Christian tradition?

Into the true Christianity, you can say, that Christ's mother represented that energy. But Christ did not want to talk about her in those words, because it was dangerous. He had to get crucified for a purpose and if he had told that his mother is the power behind him, they would have attacked her, and he could not have tolerated her [it].

Now, this potential power may become kinetic when it is alone. Like, in some cases in India, where we had… The mother had to come alone to save people being destroyed by demonic forces. Today, in the age of Aquarius—Aquarius means the water-giver—is the, again, the same power, which resides within you as Kundalini.

So, in these modern times, this Kundalini has to be awakened into human beings, and their resurrection time has started. So, this reflection of the Holy Ghost within you, which is the Kundalini, has to give you your second birth in these modern times. That's her job.

[6:50] Now, we must understand that a man and a woman are complementary to each other. There is no need to compete with each other. They are like two wheels of a chariot, which are equal, but not similar. So, if a woman realises her potential power and if she is given proper respect, as in India, I am sure these problems in the West will subside. Traditionally, Indian women are very respected and respectable, but now, because of the influence of the outside, maybe there is some change that has come. But actually, basically, the Indian woman is very well respected, and she tries to remain respectable also. Whatever is happening in the West is actually a hurt feeling, hurting. They were hurt.

Gregoire: Shri Mataji is it possible, in this end of century, to discover what is the actual secret of human destiny?

Yes, of course. This is the time when you have to know your destiny, and your destiny is to become the Spirit. In the evolution, we have come from amoeba stage to this stage with a purpose. Now, little bit has to be done for this breakthrough. This is awakening of the Kundalini within you.

And when that happens, she rises through your six subtle centers and breaks through the sixth [seventh] one here, which we call as the fontanel bone area, and she actualizes your baptism. And then you start feeling the cool breeze of the Holy Ghost coming out of your head. And the effects of that, you can feel that you become a transformed personality, like an egg becoming a bird. You develop the capacity on your central nervous system that you can feel your centers, you can feel the centers of others, what we call collective consciousness, a new dimension in your awareness. We can say that so far we have been looking at the destiny; now we start looking from the destiny. Like we now become the light, so we have the powers of the light.

Gregoire: Shri Mataji, you have come already many times in Italy, and we would like to know what is your feeling about Italy. Did this country contribute in some way to spirituality, was there any contribution from its artists or its writers to the reality you want to introduce?

Well, you had very great artists and great authors and poets, and also great, we can say, painters, and who did great job, like Michelangelo, we can say, the poet is Dante, and so many of them have written about it and the tradition of Italy is spirituality. And the Italians have a great sense of spirituality of serenity, because Italy is the soul of Europe. All the great artists and the ideas of art and beauty have gone from this country all over the Europe.

They are very open-hearted people, and also they are not extremist, and they have not formed any ideas that this should conform to that. So they are free people in their expression. And I feel that Italians are the first in the whole of Western country who will achieve spirituality. They will get to their destiny before any other country in this Western areas.

Gregoire: You have to thank me for asking the question. I said, he has to thank me for asking you this question, now you have blessed them so much.

I feel poetically Italy all the time.

Gregoire: There is perhaps one more question, Shri Mataji, to ask you, and that would be a simple one. What is the difference between your Sahaja Yoga and all the other yogas who came before?

Yoga means union, union with the divine. Unless and until you get your self-realization, yoga has no meaning. This physical yoga and all mental yogas are all limited things. It has to go to the unlimited through the living process of happening within yourself. Spontaneously, that is Sahaja, spontaneously. You cannot manipulate it. You cannot put effort into it. It should be simple like germinating a seed. You cannot pay for it. You cannot have a course in it.
