Greetings to the Vice Chancellor Of Mahatma Fule college, all the professors, and all the Sahaja Yogis who have come from abroad, and most importantly, to you all, the citizens of tomorrow.

First of all I should apologize, because the work of the Divine and the work of human beings doesn't always come together, and there are restrictions of every kind. The time of the Divine works in a different way and your time works in a different way. So, I do try to make them both work together but still sometimes it does not work out and that is why I am late. So when you get to know the reasons behind it, you should forgive me.

Anyway, they told me that Gregoire has talked to you for an hour and then Mr. Chawhan has also talked for an hour. The subject is not actually something you talk about, or anything to argue about. What did we argue about when we became a human being from amoeba? Which books did we read? Which technique did we use? And even when we have developed our technical knowledge at its best and science has reached its highest level, we have got all kinds of powers to create the destruction, but we have not yet achieved a single power to create a living thing.

Now, as farmers you can see that the seeds don’t look like as they are alive, but as soon as we put them in the earth, they comes to life, and the living process starts. We can not make it happen, if I give a lecture in front of the seeds in order for them to sprout, will they start sprouting? All living things happen absolutely spontaneously. If you think that you are going to try and make it happen, then it will be just to satisfy your mind, just a thought. There is no argument about that. We have not yet created a single living thing. I went to a place called Wales, and there was an Indian student, he was saying that now we are creating babies in the test tubes. I said that is wrong, you put two living things together to do that, but you can not make anything living out of dead matter. And you will never be able to do that.

When you reach a certain level of awareness then you will also be able to work with the living things, and God has made an arrangement for that within us. There has been many discoveries in India about it, from ancient times, people have been writing about it. Even Bramhadeva had to work for it in order to become aware of it. In our scriptures it is said that Dattatreya brought Indra to that state of awareness. Now all our scriptures, either they were true or they were all false, but as we can not prove with science if they were true, in the same way we can not prove that they were false.

So in this matter we can not use the science or neither we can use our intellect, because this is beyond intellect. Intellect is a limited thing, and here we are talking about the unlimited. So the things which are beyond, we are not going to understand them without going there, and we can not use our intellect to reach there. That does not mean that we have to be stupid. There had to be an intellect, human being became intelligent, he evolved so much that he became a human being, and he developed an intellect. With your intellect you understood the science, if we take a look at many things in science, they also have their limits, it can not go beyond a certain limits. All the scientists also clearly admit this fact.

Now let’s see, if we say that the earth has the gravitational force, so yes, that is correct, whatever you have witnessed, you have written about it, that is all ok, and is the truth. But how did the earth come to have the gravitational force, and why? And are you able to interfere with that gravitational force in any way?

Ten years back in America, I had told about the birds, that, when they fly, they have the Ganesh principle within them, and Ganesh principle is the magnetism. Human beings also have it.

A person who has Ganesh principle awakened in him has very strong sense of direction. Because of this magnetism the birds reach wherever they had to go. With the help of the magnet within them the birds could decide which direction they should go. Otherwise how would the birds from Siberia, when they fly thousands of miles know where to go? Near Nagpur there is a bird sanctuary where lots of birds from Siberia come, and have been coming for thousands of years. And people there have discovered that these birds are from Siberia. Now I am trying to say the same thing that these birds have a magnet in them, not only that, but they could also see that some fishes also have the magnet within them. But this collective statement, that there is a magnet is true, but they can not tell you about the ‘truth’ beyond it, that, how this magnet came to be in the awareness of human beings, how does it come to be in their consciousness? Who communicates with it, how does it understand? And are you able to fit this magnet?

Now if I tell you that this is to do with the Ganesh principle, then you might say that, Mataji, this is all beyond our understanding. But it is the Ganesh principle. So, how do we further find out about it? For that we have to raise our awareness a little, with human awareness you will not be able to understand. See, if I tell you that by cutting the skin a little bit you will see that there are lots of cells there, under the skin, but you will only believe me when I actually show it to you. You will need a microscope for that, without looking through the microscope you will not be able see it.

In a same way, whatever I am telling you today, or whatever has been told by the great philosophers, in ancient times, or, the people who we call great sages and Gurus, whatever they have told us, to realize all that or to experience all that you have to become something else. It has been said that you have to be born again. The former president of America says that I am a twice born, now the one who has come next, he also says that am also twice born. Now if you are going to give yourself a certificate like that then what can you say? If somebody is going to certify themselves as twice born, then even if they say that they are tenth time born then so be it, you can not say anything to them.

But this is a kind of the state of mind. State of the being. Until you achieve that state, it is no use believing that you are such and such, that is just a concept. God is not a concept, that, God suppose to be like such and such, that he does everything and sees everything. What is the proof of all that? You can say anything like that with using your intellect. You have to have the connection first of all. Now, I am talking through this microphone, so unless it has been connected with the mains, I would not have been able to speak to you, this instrument would have been useless.

We have also been made into instruments, you all know that we have evolved to be human being form amoeba. So there must be some reason for it, we have come through the transition of evolution and today have reached the state of becoming human beings. So there must some special reason for it, otherwise it would not have happened. And to know that special reason is very ……(unclear) We are not able to know that, because we have not yet been connected with God. First of all you have to be connected with God and then I will be able to speak to you. If I had not come here and we have not come in contact with each other, then how could I say anything to you?

So this event has yet to happen within you, and the power which makes it happen, is called the Kundalini Shakti. Now we do not have a chart here, but within us, in our triangular bone, there is power sitting there in a dormant state, and when this power is awakened we get connected with God, get connected with the spirit, and through the spirit we get connected with God. Without knowing the spirit, we can not know about God. It is not possible at all. If some people say that, yes we know all about God, then, either they do not want to know, or they are in some kind of illusion.

So this connection, just like this microphone, which is connected with the mains, like the microphone has coil, the power within us also has a coil. But this is a living process… (unclear) Its not like you can take it from here and place it somewhere else. For that you need someone knowledgeable, that ‘someone’ could be a very simple being. Look at Christ, who was a son of carpenter, but he was very knowledgeable (all-knowing). We had Sainath here, nobody knew who his parents were, and he was not very educated or anything, but he was knowledgeable. Also Ramadas Swami, nobody knows where he got his education from, but he was knowledgeable. Gyaneshwara never went to university but how intense was his preaching! He also said that, there is a Kundalini power within us and it needs to be awakened.

So this tree, the tree of Universe, which is according to the science is growing very huge outwards, you can call it in extroversion, it is growing too much out side. The roots of that tree have go inwards, it has to discover what is the principle behind the source of this tree, which is looking after it.

And because of this reason, in today's modern life, when man has all kinds of instruments (facilities) available to him, and he has completely developed himself in outside world, then there was also a discovery of the principle behind it, and how he is going to know about it. If it does not reach that principle then he will topple down (lost). And there is a situations like that, if you go to foreign countries, you will be surprised to see that everyone is in a kind of a fear (under a threat), that when we are going to topple down, and when we are going be attacked from somewhere.

Now just look at the disease like cancer, you never know that who is going to get cancer and when. Now if we ask the professor, who has been abroad, he will say that 65% of people have become mad already. They have not gone completely mad , there are lot of different kinds of madness, but 65% of people go to see a psychologist. That means what a huge destructive work going on within the human beings. Apart from that we have now created an atom-bomb. So what have we used the science for? to make an atom-bomb, it is like devil siting there, and because of the fear of atom-bomb all the wars has stopped. So we can say that is a blessing of this devil.

All over the world there is a kind of terrible insecurity, and anxiety, thinking that what is going to happen next, it is kind of a strange atmosphere. I have traveled all over the world with my husband, only place is left to go is Australia, will be going there also. Each and every person has a kind of terrible fear in their mind, compared to them we are alright, because we are in ignorance. We are not yet aware, we are in a kind of a dormant state, which is a benefit to us in a way, we are unaware of the things that could happen. Which is why we are in bliss. But if we take a look at the people abroad, they are very…..(unclear). We think that in foreign countries people have made such progress, that they have earned lots of money, and they are very affluent.

You will be surprised that, there was a girl age about 18 – 19 years old, and another girl about 17-18 years old, who came to our program, they were very young girls from Sweden. When I checked their vibrations, and the vibrations were like as of the dead bodies. I was very surprised that at their young age they should be enjoying the joyful things, and why are they doing the dead things. I invited them to my home and very lovingly fed them dinner, and I asked them that what is the matter with you, what is it you want, what is troubling you? They were saying that, there is nothing wrong, but after perusing the matter further, they both started crying, I said what is the matter? So they said that, all the time we feel like ending our lives, want to commit suicide. I said, but why? So they said that many of our friends has ended their lives and we are also planning the same.

After achieving so much prosperity, having so much affluence, why do you think in this way? So they said , there is nothing in this affluence, there is no joy, there is no love, we do not want all that. Now if you are going to give us what we have not been able achieve so far, then it will be a different thing. Because we are not at all attracted to all the affluence and riches any more, and we are really fed up with it all. So I said ok, after that they got their realization and all that, and their lives have changed, that is another thing.

But it does not matter what level of greatness human beings achieve in a worldly sense, we think that if someone has become a big minister, then he must be a very happy man, but go and see for yourself, it will be a big headache for him. It is our imagination to think that if someone has reached a high status, then he must be a very happy person. But he can not be happy, there are two reasons for that, one is, he has great responsibility, and he has to carry out the responsibilities himself alone. But once he gets his realization, he does not have any responsibility. All responsibility would be taken care by God, and God makes all the work happen very promptly. Many Sahaja Yogis have experienced that, they do not have to do anything, at least they don’t feel that they are doing anything.

Other thing is that, a man is not able to handle anything, if you give him some money, for example, if you give a hundred rupees to a beggar on the street, he will go straight to a liquor bar, if you give ten rupees then it will be something different. Because he loses all his sense at that time, and there is no guarantee that he will be able to do anything good. Try and give someone a high position, he will not be able to handle it, and if he try to handle the situation, then he will suffer.

If someone says that I will work in a honest way, and I will show that I can handle the work, it will be impossible for him, it will be troublesome, nobody will be listening to him. So in this situation we should think that, there is something missing in us, we are somehow incapable, and we have to become capable. Means we have to become one with the meaning of what it means to be a human being. That will only happen, when we come to know the real power within us, the power of the ‘Spirit’ . When the Spirit gets awakened in us, when we become the Spirit, when our attention gets dissolved in to the Spirit, then only we attain that huge power within us. And then only we will become capable in a real sense, there will be nothing that we will not be able to handle. We will not be troubled by anything at all. Then human beings will think that they have discovered the meaning of them self.

If we made a lamp, and decorated it with beautiful things, but we didn't light it, then the work is still incomplete. But when you light the lamp then it has a meaning to it. It starts giving light, its only job is to give light, light flows automatically, the lamp does not have to do anything. It does not have to make any effort for it, the light from the lamp just flows. Just like the light from the Sun spreads automatically, in a same way the light of an enlighten person keeps flowing.

Now these people must have told you all about the techniques about Sahaja Yoga, and yes there is technique to Sahaja Yoga, everything has a technique to it. In a same way this Universe also has a huge technique behind it, and that knowledge is above all other knowledge. But to be able to gain that knowledge first we need to have this power flowing through us. Once we have this power started flowing through us then we learn about this technique. For example, when you enter this room, and if there is darkness, you will only have to press one button and there will be light. But behind it all (electricity) what an enormous organization, and what a huge power there is, and for thousands of years they have been organizing it all, how many evolutions it has been through, and how much progress it has made, and then today you are in this situation that you only have to press one button and you have the light.

In the same way God has made a very beautiful, very gentle arrangement within us, that you only have to press the button and you get the light. And only after getting the light, you can see your own problems, before that if somebody says to you that you have such and such problem, we do not like it, and that will not be right either. Like, if someone says that you are holding on to a snake (in the darkness) then people would not like it, he will think, am I an idiot to hold on to a snake? But as soon as there is light, you will just drop it.

So for human beings to reach this state was all arranged by God. In Sahaja Yoga first you have to get self realization. First of all you have to give them their self realization. If there is only little light, it is ok. Slowly slowly when they start seeing their own problems then they start to cleanse themselves. They will not try and cleanse themselves before that, that was the system in old days, we had to give it up, because it used to take to much time. And even if they have cleansed themselves, they would not want to do it all over again.

That is why we have to give them their self realization first, give them their own light within, then they start to clean their own chimneys. Everyone does their own cleansing, and no one feels bad about it. This is a very practical side of Sahaja Yoga. Sahaja Yoga has always been there, all the formation of the universe has been done in a very Sahaja way. Sahaja, ‘Saha’ means with, ‘ja’ means born with you. Like a plant has been born with the fate of becoming a huge tree, in the same way you have also been born with the fate of having a union with the Divine. And only after achieving the union (Yoga) with the Divine, you get the peace, and well being, which has the special beauty about it.

And whatever affluence, and prosperity he achieves after achieving the union with the Divine, the whole of the humanity will benefit from it. So this is a very significant event, and important work, and surprising thing is that it has started spreading like a fire from this town of Rahuri. All over the world your Rahuri has become famous, and people come here specially, like they are going to a pilgrimage. So Rahuri people have a special kind of responsibility also, that these people come to you with a hope and you have to fulfill that hope. And we are also seeking God, and not far away from God. You have to show that we too have a great desire to find God. Yes of course, you all have the desire to seek God, it is just that is covered up, it is sleeping.

There was an english poet called ‘William Blake’, recently I read a book written by him, the book is called ‘Milton’ in which he has predicted about Sahaja Yoga, and he said that London is going to be the Jerusalem, London is going to be a place of pilgrimage. Not only that but about the place where I live, and the places where we have an Ashram, he had written all this 175 years ago. But he had predicted a very special thing that, at this ….(unclear) the men of God will become profits and they will have special power to make others profits. This is a special thing about Sahaja Yoga.

Yesterday, there were many people here saying that, our guru has told us that we have got our self realization, so I said what is a proof, so they said that by our actions, so I asked what kind of actions, they said that our bodies shake in such and such way. I said what is this, anybody can do such a thing, has anyone ever benefited from doing such a thing? Has it been good for anyone's welfare? Have you gained any kind of power? Something is happening to you which is out of your capacity and you are not even able to control it, how is that this power can be yours? One gentleman was saying that I can jump like a frog, I said are you going to become a frog now?

When you get this power, you also attain all the knowledge about it. The purpose of telling you about Sahaja Yoga, is, so you know all about whatever there is to know. After that you yourself could verify everything, to see, if it so or not. But being doubtful also has its limit, if you keep doubting God, then God will say that, ok go ahead, you keep doubting. He is not going to fall at your feet. You have to ask for it.

I was telling you that we should notice the specialty of the people from foreign countries, these people (foreigners), they ask for it. Here, the people are extremely pure, this land is very auspicious. It is glowing with the brilliance of auspiciousness. And because of this brilliance, people here get their self realization very fast.

The other day we went to a town called Manori. There were about one and a half thousand people there, and they all got their self realization at once. But they can’t sustain it, they can’t manage it. It is like a seed which sprouts very quickly, but does not take the roots, and does not grow further. But it is different with these people (westerners), they take time to achieve their self realization, but once they get it, then they become so solid (deep), because they understand the importance (the nobility) of it, they understand that there is nothing beyond this. With their intelligence, they come to the conclusion that, this is the only important thing (self realization), which we have to achieve, and once we have achieved this then there is nothing more to strive for.

So they (westerners) recognize the truth, but we are not able to do that, and that is why it all goes to waste. The other thing is, in the west, there is too much growth in immorality, and it has been nurtured, they had no idea that how bad it was to be immoral. But when I told them, that, the immoral people could never achieve self realization, and will never happen. So they gave up all that was immoral, not only that, they worship Ganapati (Shri Ganesh), and pray that, they could be blessed with the innocence of Ganapati. I told them that for a while to keep your eyes on the ground only, because all the time your eyes are moving too much from one thing to another, and so your attention gets disturbed, so they kept their eyes on the ground all the time.

And these people have given up on so many things, they use to drink a lot, some used to be drunkards. Some people used to be so much addicted to drugs that when they came to see me, they could only see the light instead of me. Some people were in coma, some people were suffering from very bad disease, they manage to get out of all that and reached such high state.

But here (in India), we don’t want to give up anything. I only told them that not to ware the thread given by someone because they have been robbed for it. That bramhin had charged you 1 rupee for the thing which costs 1p, and why do you go around wearing it, what is the significance of it, does it have any meaning? They do not even want to do that. This is some kind of stubbornness, not only that but it is a kind of an ego.

We will have to at least give up on some of the things, and the thing we have to give up is the untruth. If you realize that you have to hold on to the truth and give up the untruth, then it will happen really quickly. Other thing is, in our country, in our society, there have been many Saints and Sages, and also there have been thieves (fraudsters), and for that reason people started to think that there is no such a thing like God. It is all meaningless. They think that our parents has been doing all this and it is all pointless. There is a kind of frivolousness in peoples behavior, and they are restless.

They think whatever is happening in the western countries is good, and if we behave in a manner which is very flighty (fickle) then we are very great. But there can be only one meaning to all this kind of a behavior, that we do not value ourselves, we do not respect ourselves. We do not respect our country, do not respect our culture. Not only that, but they do not have any idea of what a tremendous wealth of knowledge there is in this country, that is why we behave in such a manner.

So you really have to remember that, you will not find another great country like ours in whole of the Universe. This is a very special country. This is a land of spirituality (Yogabhumi). Vibrations are flowing from each and every part of this country. And you have taken birth in this country due to your good deeds (punyas) you have done for thousands of years. So you must value yourself.

We just do not value ourselves, I am very surprised with the young generation of today that they are like that.

At the time of Gandhiji, when we were young, and we use to feel so passionate about wanting to sacrifice our lives for our country. Wanted to sacrifice every drop of our blood for our country. And today we wonder that, where did these frivolous people come from. In this country, where people have sacrificed their lives for the country, and how these frivolous people have taken birth here, I do not understand. So we are great people, but we need to know our value.

All these foreigners sitting here today, they have come here specially to meet you. They think you Indians are very great people. There will come a day when the whole Universe will come at your feet. Because all these material things are mortal. But what we have is Supreme Consciousness (bliss) representing profound knowledge (spiritual understanding). It is infinite, and that is what we could offer them. Only thing is that we have to fully understand it, because it belongs to us, does not mean that it is worth nothing. If that happens then you will be surprised that what a privileged it is to be being born in this country, and it is because of your good karmas in last life.

This is what these foreigners think, that, how virtuous you all are, that you live in this paradise. They all tell me that this is a paradise, and we are not even aware of it. A diamond does not know its own value. But you should know it and should find out about it. After coming to Sahaja Yoga, you should find out about yourself and about your culture. Not only that, but you should find out, what is your place in the whole world, where is your place in the collectivity, and where you are in the whole of the consciousness. And if you people alow yourself to be wasted then the whole responsibility of the decline of the universe will be on you.

Anyway, if Sahaja yoga happens here today (if these people get their self realization) then how to continue with it in the future…. There are many great souls siting here, this Mr. Chauhan and all of them are very great souls, and they are very famous all over. And everybody was saying to me that Mataji, we will be very happy if maybe someone out of these people come to Australia, they are all telling me this.

So what I want to say that, value yourself, and achieve your self realization, and make the diamond within you shine. It is no good getting in to nonsensical arguments, you should take to what is practical. And it should happen, and it is possible. Only thing is that you have to carefully nurture it and look after it.

A question asked by someone in audience - there are so many ignorant people here in India, what are you going to do for them?

Shri Mataji - yes I agree completely, what you are saying is very true, but my husband use to be in Indian – foreign service, I got him to resign and asked him to join the IAS. And all these years we were living here, but later what happened was, that my husband got elected by 112 countries as a secretary general for the United Nations organization . So because my husband was posted there so I had to be with him. Actually I don’t live there, I live here (in India) . If you ask my husband, he will tell you that my wife is never at home, because for months I stay in India.

Now I am going to Australia for a month, after that I have to go to Europe. After that I have to go to America, so, it is not like I am settled anywhere. And I always lived here in India, only the last seven years I was there, and now again they have elected him, so I will have to live there for another five years. I still have my address in Mumbai, and I still have an Indian passport. And I am from India, and always going to be here in India.

I agree that us Indians are ignorant, and I do have to do some work here, but the need for this (Sahaja Yoga) is much more greater in the west, compared to here. Because you are not yet searching for God, yours is a developing country. So your attention is on how to make nylon, is anyone's attention towards God here? Is there anyone searching for God? So what good will it be for me to stay here? (India) What will be an advantage of me being here? Here you people want cinema actors, and there are plenty of them. If your attention turns towards God then I will permanently reside here.

We have not built any Ashrams anywhere yet, not settled anywhere yet. What you are saying is totally true, I also want to help the ignorant people, but the ignorant people also have to ask that, Mother, please give us self realization, isn’t that right? I am always going from one village to another, whenever I have time. My husband is in India at the moment, but I have come here.

Someone asking about Hathayoga, (a little unclear):

Shri Mataji – yes you are right, your question is right. In Hathayoga the Kundalini gets awakened spontaneously. But there is a difference between Hathayoga and Sahaja Yoga, which happened over the time. Because when people were doing the Hathayoga at that time we had four classes (casts, tribes), and the students who used to go and stay with a Guru, the Guru only used to choose those students, who were seeking God. The Gurus who were realized souls, use to work on them, and cleanse them.

At that time, like we now have this college, like that every University use to have a clan (lineage), and all the girls and boys from a same University considered as brothers and sisters. Even now we do not marry a person from a same clan (lineage). That is how much the idea of celibacy was there, and the students use to keep to celibacy to that extent. Apart from that there use to absolute purity in the household. But the Hathayoga was not for the householder (a family man). Only for the people who used to keep to celibacy, Patanjali had suggested the Hathayoga. And the Hathayoga of Patanjali was only for few people, because there were only few…(unclear). They used to prepare them with lot of effort. Out of those, they used to filter out many of them.

So what happens nowadays that, I think it started about 25 – 50 years ago, that some people thought that they have started searching for God, and they visited some Gurus, and the Guru used to take pity on them and teach them some asanas (yoga posture) and tried to clear their chakra. These yoga postures are also very scientific. Now when we do every kind of Yoga posture there is, that means to consume all of the medicine from a medicine box.

We also use the Yoga postures after getting realization. We do not use them before realization because we do not know which chakra is catching. There is a big science behind it. But the main thing about it was, that steadily maintaining the idea of God, that means to find God first. That means getting self realization, and that means Sahaja Yoga. Without seeking God there can not be Sahaja Yoga. It is not like whosoever comes and says that he is a Hathayogi, that is completely wrong. Without seeking God there can not be Hathayoga.

But who reads The Patanjal shastra (scripture written by ancient Indian sage)? A book written by some English fellow arrives here and we all start to follow that, because everyone wants to become cinema actor. And you will be surprised that the person who follow the Hathayoga, always catches on the heart chakra. That means he becomes emotionless, and he becomes a very strict person. So far all the Hathayogis who came to me were the people whose wives have ran away or had divorced them, because they don’t have that softness remaining in them which you need while dealing with your wife. That means where we think we are trying to better ourselves and instead we end up harming ourself, and such a person becomes completely emotionless ( insensitive).

Now other one is Rajayoga, there are many yogas, I will tell you about Rajayoga, when the Kundalini gets awakened in us, at that time the things happens within us, it creates a bondage, because as I have told you that the Kundalini awakening is a very great technique. When a seed sprouts, it does not just go straight up, it also has some techniques to it, certain events take place and those techniques are called as the ‘Rajayoga’. At that time you fall in to a bondage, and Khechari takes place (physical practice curling the tongue back to the roof of the mouth) and the pupils of your eyes get dilated. All this happens spontaneously, we don’t have to make it happen. I have seen some Hathayogis who actually take their tongue out and then push it inside, it will not work that way. Like when we eat our food and it get digested by itself, in a same way, when the Kundalini awakens the Rajayoga takes place spontaneously. We can not make it happen. Some people even put some ointment in their eyes to dilate the pupils. But just by the dilation of pupils the Kundalini is not going to be awakened. When the Kundalini is awakened then the pupils are dilated.

It is specialty of human beings to distort the meaning of everything and look at things in a corrupted view. So I am very surprised the way they understand the Rajayoga. Is cutting out the tongue to put inside going to help to awaken the Kundalini? So in this way they have turned everything upside down.

Whatever is going to happen is going to happen through Sahaja Yoga, Sahaja means spontaneous, only the Hathayoga which we know about today is not the real Hathayoga. The real Hathayoga happens when you surrender and dedicate yourself to God. But today the situation is not like that, and it does not have to take so much time also.

Question by a seeker – can the Kundalini be awakened by plants?

The seeker – I have read it somewhere..

Shri Mataji – if you want to read, then there ere a lot of crazy things out there… someone said that the Kundalini is in the stomach, someone said it in your nose, now what to say to that? Means who is authorized to write about God? Even Hitler has written about God. Because God is not going to come and stop you doing it. It is completely unauthorized act, they write whatever they feel like. There is nothing like that. You can go and ask those people who has written such things to actually demonstrate it.

Now yesterday I asked somebody to tell me where this persons Kundalini is, so he said how could I know that, so I said this person (a yogi) will tell you, now he is from Australia, and he could tell you where your Kundalini is and he could raise and awaken the Kundalini for you. That means he has the knowledge about the Kundalini and his own Kundalini is already awakened. Just because someone comes and says "I am the King", are we going to believe that he is a king?

What happens when the Kundalini awakens, and what do you feel?

Shri Mataji – OK you are asking the right question. When the Kundalini gets awakened, it depends on the sensitivity of each individual as to how it feels to them. If someone has a problem with their Nabhi chakra, then you will be able to see clearly that in the triangular bone how the Kundalini is throbbing away. And you can also clearly see the rising of the Kundalini. If somebody has a liver problem, then it will go to the liver and start pounding there, just to indicate that there is a problem with the liver.

After that when she rises to the Bramharandrha (top of the head), it makes the sound like a beating heart. Kabira had said that when you will reach the peak of your ascent you will hear the sound of the beating heart. Some people do not even have any sound at all, it happens really smoothly. Like a smooth and quick take off of an aero-plane. In the same way if a person has not been to any gurus or not done too much reading, not been involved in too many things, and if he is a very simple and an innocent person like a child, then his Kundalini will rise very quickly. He does not even realize it , and the cool breeze starts flowing in his hands.

Are we able to feel the cool breeze?

Shri Mataji – yes of course, definitely, if you can not feel it then, you have not got your self realization. You would be able to give yourself a certificate. There is no mesmerism in this, not only that but when you start feeling the cool breeze, you will be able to find out, if, for example, if you put your hands out towards a person, and if you feel burning in this finger then you will find that the person has bronchitis.

For example in the beginning, for the first time, I gave realization to an archaeologist in London, now these people are very critical (do not believe in anything easily). He could not believe that, Mataji is saying that now you have become collectively conscious, he thought that how could it be. So he said, Mataji, tell me about my father (how he is), so I told him to put his hands out and think about his father. As soon as he did that, he felt burning here, I said all this you are feeling is off your father’s chakras, and you are feeling this finger means that is the Vishuddhi chakra, means he must be down with serious bronchitis, I actually told him in these words. His father was in Scotland, so he telephoned him right away, and his mother told him that your father is in bed and is down with serious bronchitis. Now he is a very dedicated devotee of me.

So you get the recognition, and you get the proof of it. You yourself can prove the existence of it.

Shri Mataji - this is a very good question, she is feeling impatient (Shri Mataji is laughing), she asked the right question, now I will tell you how to get it. It is good that this question came up, now after this, there should be no more questions.

Shri Mataji - yes, yes I will explain everything, take a seat, I will answer all the questions. And you will also be able to tell others, as soon as you get your realization, straight away you will also be able to tell others. Just like this instrument, when it is connected, it starts to work. In a same way as soon as you get connected, you will tell everyone about it. But you have to be connected, in case of the connection being a bit lose, I will fix that also, ( big laughter in audience, also Shri Mataji is laughing).

Some times, people have their screws loose, and they have to be tightened up. Specially this screw is often loose, it happens because of too much thinking, so you have to see to it.

So now let us see how to do it. Now I am not sure if these people have told you that in the fingers of our hands there are all the chakras of the central nervous system, five fingers, sixth is the base of the hand and the seventh is in the center of the palm, like this all the seven centers are in our hands. So if you put your hands towards me like this, that means one candle has to light another candle. So put your hands towards me and take out your shoes, because we have great blessings of the Mother Earth upon us.
